What protects the Disabled Veterans from spouses seeking Alimony?

unfortunately until she gets married then the state will continue you to take it out of your monthly check. not to sound smart ed im rated at 70% percent and am obligated to pay child support, which is my responsibility, but if i were to fall behind the state of indiana can step in and take my check. its been argued over and over about alimony to no avail, and as i said im not being a smart ***, but i have yet to see to many women paying alimony so welcome to the government can giveth and if gave a chance they will taketh away!!! you and i both know it is a raw deal especially when we depend on that money to survive, but we know its a pissy situation when you get married and then divorced, the spouse can keep working and still get your money as well as a live in with even more income. until the laws are changed i guess in the end we will eventually end up living with alot of our brothers in card board boxes down by the river. it sucks because i dont recall my ex standing over me applying compression bandages to my chest when i was shot in iraq and somalia but maybe it was due to the blood loss and i just didn't see her there,so i guess thats grounds enough for her to take what we earned.
