Why do women (wives) cook at home while men predominantly do same in hotels, restaurants etc?

In the context of a hotel or restaurant setting, cooking is a job/career while at home it is considered a domestic duty. Since many men out there think of domestic duties as "girlie", they will often shun them even though the exact same work in a career setting in perfectly acceptable to them.
