Sims 2 Grim Reaper Problem:?

I was killing some of my sims for a bit of fun, and I chose by accident "Make Selectable" on Grim Reaper. Since he disappeared, I chose the Tombstone of L & D, add family member Grim Reaper. That error has occured thing came up and I hit reset a couple of times, but it kept popping up. I hit pause before it came up, and I clicked him to see what would come up. To see what would happen, I chose get pregnent with-Grim Reaper. Now he's gone cause I hit delete on the pop-up, but now I can't the choose Save, Quit or Neighbourhood options. I would like to save my game, so is there any way I can save the game without quitting?
