I like him......but idk if he still likes me...?

Ok so i reallyneedhelp, one day i meet this guy when we where hanging out in the gym, im really shy so i dint talk to him that much, but i liked him alot. so then my friend fwd. a text 4rm him to her about me saying that i was cute but he got the vibe that i didnt like him. so texted him and stuff and it seemed that everything was going fine until his best friend asked me out, i didnt want to be rude so i just asked him if i could think it over. so then the guy i like started to ignore me completely, and i found out y... that guy who asked me out told him, so now i guess im considerd off limits.but also the whole asked me out thing just blew off, it sucks because i really do like him, what should i do?
